INASMET, a Technology Research Centre in the field of materials (www.inasmet.es), and founding member of Tecnalia (www.tecnalia.es), the biggest private Technology Corporation in Spain, in close collaboration with the medical community have invested many efforts on the study of the mechanisms behind the interaction between biomaterial surfaces and living tissues. As a result, LIFENOVA Biomedical, S.A. was set up as a partnership between the medical & engineering community. Extensive research is being carried out in different biomedical applications, where surface properties play a key role. Among then, it can already be highlighted the results obtained on dental implants, which have already led to a proprietary implant surface with outstanding and solidly tested osseointegration characteristics.  See our brochure
